BAKED APPLES OR PEARS large whole apples or pears For each apple or pear: 2 Tbsp. brown sugar 1/8 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. butter 2 Tbsp. water Core apples or pears. Slit through skin around center of each fruit to prevent bursting. Arrange in casserole (see following information). Fill each fruit core with sugar, cinnamon and butter. Pour water around fruit. Cover casse- role. Microwave at High according to following information: For 1 fruit use 1 quart casserole for 2 to 4 minutes. For 2 fruits use 1 1/2 quart casserole for 4 to 5 1/2 minutes. For 3 fruits use 2 quart casserole for 6 to 8 minutes. For 4 fruits use 2 quart casserole for 9 to 10 minutes.
