NUT CAKE 2 c. sugar 1 c. butter 1 c. milk 4 eggs 1 tsp. salt 3 c. flour 3/4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cream of tartar 1 c. nuts (walnuts) 2 tsp. vanilla Cream butter and sugar; mix in egg and vanilla. Alter- nate dry and wet. Add walnuts. Bake in greased and floured pan (makes large cake). Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Frost with butter frosting.
