PARADISE CHOCOLATE DROP COOKIES 4 sq. unsweetened chocolate 1 c. Spry (shortening) 2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1 plus Tbsp. vanilla 3 c. flour 1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped pecans Melt shortening with chocolate and cool. Add 2 cups brown sugar and eggs. Mix well; add rest of ingredients. Let the batter set a few minutes before spooning on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes approximate- ly 65 or 70 cookies. Liquid sugar seems to work best. Frosting for Paradise Chocolate Drop Cookies: 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate 2 Tbsp. brewed coffee (more to taste if desired) 1 lb. confectioners sugar 1 stick butter or margarine 2 Tbsp. milk 1 Tbsp. vanilla These liquid ingredients are approximate.
