CARLA'S SUGAR COOKIES 3/4 c. butter or margarine 3/4 c. sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour, one cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. The dough will be very stiff. It may be necessary to blend the last flour in by hand. Divide dough into 2 balls. DO NOT CHILL DOUGH! Double batch of cookie dough recipe can be made using a heavy-duty mixer. Bake cookies on top rack of oven. Bake sugar cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. (I usually only cook them about 5 minutes).
