GRANDMA'S TEA CAKES 1 c. sugar 1 stick margarine 2 tsp. baking powder 1 egg 2 c. plain flour 1 tsp. nutmeg (optional) 2 tsp. vanilla With mixer, cream sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. By hand, add egg, flour (a little at a time), baking powder, nutmeg and vanilla. (More flour may be added to make a stiff batter.) Wrap in waxed paper and refrigerate overnight or at least 3 hours. Roll out on floured board and cut in desired shapes. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown. Makes 3 to 4 dozen teacakes.
