VERY CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 5 eggs 3 c. flour 3 c. sugar 2 sticks margarine 1/2 c. Crisco 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup 1 c. milk 1 c. nuts Cream margarine, Crisco and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add half of flour mixture to the creamed margarine, Crisco and sugar. Mix the chocolate syrup and milk together. Add eggs one at a time alternately with the remaining flour and milk chocolate mixture. Add chopped nuts. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Frosting For Very Chocolate Pound Cake: 1 (4 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1/2 c. butter or margarine 1 lb. box powdered sugar 1 (4 oz.) bar sweet chocolate 1/8 c. hot water 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract Mix cream cheese and butter until well blended; gradual- ly add sugar. Combine chocolate and hot water; heat until chocolate is melted; add to cheese mixture. Add vanilla and beat well.
