PECAN BRITTLE 2 c. granulated sugar 1 c. corn syrup 1/2 c. water 1 c. broken pecans 1/2 tsp. salt 2 Tbsp. margarine 1/2 tsp. soda Cook sugar, corn syrup and water in a heavy skillet over high heat, stirring constantly until it spins a fine thread. Add pecans and salt and cook over medium heat about 8 minutes. Stir in margarine and soda. Mix well. Pour into greased shallow pan and spread thin. When cold, break into pieces.
