DROP SUGAR COOKIES Cookies: 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 3/4 c. butter or margarine pinch of salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder 3 c. flour 1 c. buttermilk Icing: 1 (3 oz.) sq. Philadelphia cream cheese 1 Tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 box confectioners sugar 1 tsp. butter Cookies: Beat together well the eggs, granulated sugar and butter. Sift together salt, baking soda, baking powder and flour. Add the dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk to the butter, egg and sugar mixture. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet, 1 teaspoonful at a time. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until light brown. Ice cookies with Sugar Cookie Icing. Sugar Cookie Icing: 1 (3 oz.) sq. cream cheese 1 Tbsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 box confectioners sugar 1 tsp. butter Cream together cream cheese and milk. Add vanilla; mix again. Add confectioners sugar and add a teaspoon butter and beat well. Add food coloring for desired colors.
