POPCORN BALLS 7 c. cooked popcorn 1 c. sugar 1/3 c. water 1/3 c. white Karo syrup 1 tsp. salt 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla food coloring, if desired Cook sugar, water, syrup, salt and butter to 1/2 way between soft and hard ball stage. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and food coloring. Pour over popcorn and mix. Make popcorn balls with buttered hands to help prevent burns.
