POUND CAKE 2 c. flour 2 c. sugar 6 eggs 2 sticks margarine or 1/2 lb. butter 1 tsp. pure vanilla Cream butter and sugar until creamy and smooth. Add 1 egg and beat real good. Add 2 tablespoons flour at a time. Beat good. Keep doing this way, beating after each egg and after each time you add flour until all is in. Add vanilla. Remember to take the time to beat. Beating is the life of a pound cake. Bake in tube pan for 1 hour and 10 minutes in a 350 degrees oven that has been preheated. You can test the middle of the cake with a toothpick. Your cake is done when the tooth- pick comes out clean.
