MUD CAKE 1 1/2 sticks margarine 2 c. sugar 2 c. self-rising flour 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 4 Tbsp. cocoa 3 eggs 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts Cream margarine. Mix cocoa and sugar. Add to marga- rine. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour. Mix well and add vanilla and nuts. Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Mud Cake Icing: 4 Tbsp. evaporated milk 1 box 10x sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 4 Tbsp. margarine 4 Tbsp. cocoa 1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows Mix sugar and cocoa and add to creamed margarine. Add evaporated milk a little at a time. Add more if needed. Add vanilla. As soon as cake is done place marshmallows on top of cake. Place in oven and let melt. Put icing over melted marshmallows. Let stand several hours before cutting.
