FRIENDSHIP CAKE (30 DAYS) (Brandied Fruit Cake) To 1 1/2 cups starter juice, add 2 1/2 cups sugar and large can sliced peaches, juice and all. Stir for 10 days, twice a day. On 10th Day: Add large can fruit cocktail or large can of pineapple (juice too) plus 2 1/2 cups sugar. Stir 10 more days, twice a day. On 20th Day: Add 2 jars (9 ounce size) maraschino cherries, sliced or one 24 ounce jar for more coloring. On 30th Day: Drain fruit and store juice for starters (1 1/2 cups each), fruit divide for 3 cakes. Cake: 1 box yellow cake mix 1 c. chopped pecans 1 box instant vanilla pudding 2/3 c. oil 4 eggs 1 1/2 c. fruit 1 tsp. cinnamon (optional) Stir together by hand. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 40 to 60 minutes. Frosting For Friendship Cake: 1 box powdered sugar 1 stick butter 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese 1 tsp. vanilla Use mixer on frosting.
