APPLE WALNUT CAKE 4 c. chopped apples 2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. chopped walnuts 2 eggs 1/2 c. vegetable oil 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt Combine apples and sugar and let stand. Beat eggs, slightly beat in oil and vanilla. Mix and sift flour, soda and salt. Stir alternately with apples and sugar mixture. Stir in walnuts. Pour into greased and floured oblong pan (13 x 9 x 2-inches). Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour. Let cool before remov- ing from pan. Frost when cooled.
