PRUNE CAKE 3 eggs 1 stick butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. buttermilk 2 c. flour 1 tsp. soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. cloves 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. nuts 1 c. prunes, cooked and seeded Blend together eggs, butter, sugar and buttermilk. Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Mix with first mixture very well. Add vanilla, nuts and prunes. Mix well. Bake in Bundt pan for 1 hour at 300 degrees. Topping For Prune Cake: 1/2 c. buttermilk 1/2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. white syrup 1 stick butter 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sugar Cook ingredients together to slow boil. While cake is hot, pour topping over very slowly. Let set in pan for at least 30 minutes.
