TEXAS SHEET CAKE 2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 2 sticks margarine 4 Tbsp. cocoa 1 c. water 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. baking soda 2 beaten eggs 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix sugar and flour together. Set aside. Melt marga- rine, water and cocoa; bring to boil. Then mix this with sugar and flour. Mix buttermilk, soda, eggs and vanilla together, then add to other mixture, blending well. Spread out batter in a greased and floured cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 400 degrees oven for 20 minutes. Ice with Texas Sheet Cake Icing while hot. Texas Sheet Cake Icing: 1 stick margarine 4 Tbsp. cocoa 6 Tbsp. milk 1 lb. powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla chopped nuts (optional) Bring margarine, cocoa and milk to boil, then add rest and mix until sugar is all dissolved and not lumpy.
