TOP OF STOVE SUGAR CREAM PIE 2 c. milk or 1 can Milnot plus milk to equal 2 c. 1 c. sugar 1 stick margarine 1/4 c. cornstarch 1 Tbsp. vanilla Mix 1/2 cup of the milk with 1/4 cup cornstarch. Cook all else until butter melts. Add melted cornstarch and cook until thick. Add 1 tablespoon vanilla and pour into 8-inch baked and cooled pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg and cinnamon.
