EASY APPLE CRISP Apple Crisp: 1 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 unbeaten egg 6 apples, peeled and sliced 1/3 c. melted margarine 1 tsp. cinnamon Hard Sauce: 1/3 c. soft margarine 1 1/4 c. 10x sugar 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. bourbon Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and egg with a fork. Sprinkle mixture on top of apples which have been placed in an 8 x 12-inch or round baking dish. Pour margarine over all and sprinkle cinnamon on top. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool in pan. Cut in squares. Serve with Hard Sauce. Hard Sauce: Mix margarine with powdered sugar, adding sugar gradually. Add salt and bourbon. Chill. Put spoonful on warm apple crisp.
