FRUIT COMPOTE 1 box coconut cookies, crumbled 2 large cans fruit (mandarin, oranges and fruit cocktail), drained 1 small can pineapple chunks 1/2 box light brown sugar 1 Tbsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 pt. bourbon (not quite a c.) 1/4 c. juice from fruit 1/4 lb. oleo, melted Melt butter in casserole dish. Divide fruit in 3 parts. Divide cookies in 2 parts. Layer of fruit on melted butter, layer of cookies, layer of fruit, alternating until fruit is on top. Brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg (mix together) and put over top of fruit. Pour bourbon and fruit juice over top (mix together first). Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees uncovered. Serve hot.
