DIABETIC COOKIES 3/4 c. melted shortening 1 Tbsp. diabetic sweetener 1/4 c. molasses 1 large egg 2 tsp. baking soda 2 c. flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. each cloves, ginger and salt 1 tsp. cinnamon Melt shortening; cool. Add sugar (artificial sweeten- er), molasses and eggs. Mix and add flour and spices gradual- ly. Mix well and form in 1-inch balls and pat down lightly with fork on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 375 degrees oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
