BANANA NUT BREAD 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs, well beaten 1 c. mashed ripe banana (3 medium) 1/2 c. sour cream 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. flour 3/4 c. chopped nuts Beat shortening and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add salt, eggs, bananas, sour cream and baking soda. Sift in flour. Add nuts. Pour into 8-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
