GOLDEN DIPPED FRENCH TOAST 3/4 c. pancake mix 2 eggs 3/4 c. milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla dash of nutmeg 9 slices day old thick sliced bread Place pancake mix, eggs, milk, vanilla and nutmeg in bowl. Beat until smooth. Cut bread slices in half diagonally. Dip into batter. Fry in butter (or other shortening) until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with butter, jelly and/or maple syrup. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
