STRAWBERRY MUFFINS 1/4 c. shortening 1/2 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. sifted flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. milk 1 1/2 c. strawberries Cream shortening, add sugar. Slowly beat eggs and add to mixture. Sift baking powder, flour and salt. Add alter- nately with milk to first mixture. Wash, hull and cut straw- berries; fold into batter. Turn into greased muffin tin, filling 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Makes 12.
