CREAMY CHOCOLATE PIES 1 1/2 c. sugar 3 Tbsp. flour 4 to 5 egg yolks 3 c. milk 2 Tbsp. chocolate 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 stick oleo 2 Pet-Ritz pie shells 1/3 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar Mix sugar and flour together in large saucepan. Add chocolate. Next mix in egg yolks, milk and vanilla; add butter and cook over medium heat until thick; pour into 2 precooked pie shells. Beat remaining egg whites with cream of tartar to soft peaks. Add sugar and beat until stiff. Spread on pies, seal to edge. Bake pies at 350 degrees until meringue is light brown.
