PECAN PIE 3 eggs, slightly beaten 1 c. corn syrup (light or dark) 1 c. sugar 2 Tbsp. butter, melted 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. pecan halves 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell Stir together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla until blended. Add nuts and pour into shell. Bake in 350 degrees oven 50 to 60 minutes or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean. Chocolate Pecan Pie: Decrease sugar to 1/3 cup and add 4 ounces melted semi-sweet chocolate.
