FRIED CABBAGE 1/2 lb. bacon 1/2 head cabbage Fry bacon; set aside to cool. Shred cabbage. Add to bacon grease. Fry cabbage covered until tender. Crumble bacon and add to cabbage. Cover and fry just until cabbage starts to turn brown. Season with salt and pepper if desired or brown onions before cooking cabbage and add with bacon. Great with baked chicken or any other unfried meat.
