FRIED CABBAGE 1 head cabbage, grated 4 slices bacon, fried crisp 1 Tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. water salt and pepper to taste Fry cabbage in bacon grease with salt and pepper to taste, sugar and water. Steam on low, covered until done, about 10 minutes. Check frequently and stir. Add more water by tablespoonful if necessary. Serve with bacon crumbled on top.
