BROCCOLI-RICE CASSEROLE

2 (10 oz.) frozen chopped
broccoli, cooked as
directed and drained
1/2 stick margarine
8 oz. jar Cheez Whiz
1/2 small onion, chopped fine
2 c. cooked rice
1/2 c. water
10 3/4 oz. can cream of
mushroom soup
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. buttered bread crumbs

Stir margarine and Cheez Whiz together in top of double
boiler until melted. Stir in rice. Layer 1/2 of rice mixture
in greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish. Stir in onion and water
into soup; add to well drained broccoli. Layer over rice.
Sprinkle salt and pepper; cover with remaining rice. Sprinkle
with bread crumbs and cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes;
remove cover and bake 20 minutes more.
