QUICK CREAMED HAMBURGER 1 lb. hamburger 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. oil or shortening 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 c. milk white bread or wheat cream of celery soup or mushroom soup (optional) dash of salt, dash of pepper or seasoned salt 1 egg In a medium size bowl, mix hamburger and dry seasonings. Add egg and chopped onion. Add oil to skillet and brown hamburger mixture. Once hamburger is browned, slightly in- crease heat until oil sizzles. Sprinkle flour over top of hamburger, stir and gradually add milk until thickening occurs (gravy-like). Optional: Add 1 can cream of celery soup or mushroom soup for thicker gravy or vegetable additives. Toast one slice of bread per serving and top with creamed hamburger.
