PORK CHOPS IN SOUR CREAM AND GRAVY 1 c. sliced mushrooms 2 Tbsp. butter 4 pork chops 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 c. water 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. sour cream paprika Brown the mushrooms in butter in a heavy skillet. Place the pork chops in the skillet and brown on both sides. Season with salt and pepper. Add 1/2 cup water, Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms and cover. Simmer for 40 minutes; remove chops to platter and keep warm. Mix the flour and remaining water and stir into liquid in skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, then simmer for 5 minutes. Stir the sour cream in and pour over pork chops. Sprinkle with paprika.
