HAM AND POTATOES AU GRATIN 1 1/2 c. diced, cooked ham 3 c. diced, cooked potatoes 4 Tbsp. margarine 1 small onion, minced 3 Tbsp. flour 2 c. milk salt and pepper to taste 1/2 c. grated sharp cheese 2 Tbsp. fine dry bread crumbs Layer the ham and potatoes in a shallow 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Melt 3 tablespoons margarine in a saucepan. Add onion and cook until golden; blend in flour. Add milk gradual- ly and cook, stirring until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over the ham mixture and sprinkle with cheese and bread crumbs. Dot with remaining butter. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
