STUFFED PEPPERS 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 5 medium green peppers 1 (15 oz.) tomato sauce Clean out peppers. Into the ground beef, mix one egg, parsley, salt and pepper and about 1 cup plain bread crumbs. Fill the peppers with ground beef. Place in frying pan with about 1/2-inch oil, slowly brown filled peppers, turning often. Place browned peppers in casserole dish. Saute about 1 table- spoon of minced onion in a small amount of cooking oil. Add the tomato sauce, season to taste with salt and pepper. Pour sauce over stuffed peppers. Bake in slow 325 degrees oven, uncovered until meat is cooked and peppers are tender.
