GRAVY-BAKED PORK CHOPS 4 pork chops (1/2 to 3/4-inch thick) 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 Tbsp. shortening 1 can cream of chicken or mushroom soup 2/3 c. evaporated milk 1/3 c. water Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper. In 10-inch skillet brown pork chops in 1 tablespoon hot shortening. Pour off drippings. In baking pan pour soup, milk and water around pork chops. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 45 minutes until chops are tender. Stir gravy well. Serves 4.
