SEAFOOD GUMBO 5 Tbsp. oleo 3 Tbsp. flour 1 pkg. frozen okra 2 onions, chopped 1 large can tomatoes garlic to taste 2 bay leaves 3 qt. water 1 lb. shrimp 1 lb. crabmeat (fresh) or 2 cans salt and pepper to taste 1 Tbsp. gumbo file (add just before serving) 1/2 c. rice Brown flour and oleo to make roux, this needs to be real brown on low heat. Add onions and okra. Cook until onions are tender. Add tomatoes, garlic, water, bay leaves, salt and pepper. Cook and stir for 6 hours. Add crabmeat, shrimp and rice. Cook until rice is done. Add gumbo file. Serve with sour cream corn bread.
