BREAD AND CHEESE SOUFFLE

6 to 8 slices loaf bread
8 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
2 c. milk
3 eggs, slightly beaten
salt
pepper
margarine

Cut edges off bread. Discard. Butter bread and cut
into 1-inch cubes. Mix bread cubes with grated cheese. Set
aside. Mix eggs and milk together with seasonings; beat
lightly. Pour over bread cubes and cheese. Stir gently. Pour
into a small greased casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or
until set and lightly browned.
