ROCHESTER CASSEROLE 1 lb. sausage (Italian or Polish), sliced 1 lb. beef, cubed 1 large onion 1 large green pepper 1 clove garlic 4 medium potatoes 2 cans red kidney beans 1/2 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 pepper 2 beef bouillon cubes Brown sliced sausage in heavy skillet and lift out with slotted spoon and put sausage in 4 quart casserole. Brown beef in fat left in skillet and put in casserole. Brown lightly chopped onion, pepper and garlic and add to meat mixture. Add drained beans and diced potatoes to casserole. Sprinkle with basil, salt and pepper and add bouillon cubes dissolved in 1 cup water. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
