BAKED SPAGHETTI

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut
up
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
8 oz. spaghetti
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese

Brown meat; add onion and garlic. Cook 3 minutes. Stir
in tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano, pepper and 1/2 cup
water. Cover and cook 20 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon salt to 3
quarts boiling water; add spaghetti and cook until tender.
Combine cooked spaghetti and sauce. Bake in a 2 quart
ungreased casserole. Sprinkle top with 1/3 cup Parmesan
cheese. Bake, covered, for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
