HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 9 medium potatoes, cooked and sliced 6 slices bacon 3/4 c. diced onion 3/4 c. water 1/3 c. vinegar 2 Tbsp. flour 2 Tbsp. sugar 2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. celery seed Fry bacon. Cook onion in drippings until golden brown. Blend in flour, sugar, salt and celery seed. Cook until bubbly. Remove from heat; stir in water and vinegar. Return to heat and boil, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Add crumbled bacon. Pour over sliced potatoes and mix.
