BROCCOLI SALAD 3 heads broccoli 1/2 c. white raisins 1/2 c. sunflower seed 1 red or sweet onion, chopped 1 c. mayonnaise 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp. vinegar 1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled Break broccoli into flowerets. Clean well. Make dressing of mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; then add to other ingredients. Make this at least two hours or even a day before serving for flavors to marinate. Add bacon just before serving and toss. (Cauliflower may be substituted for part of the broccoli.) Variations by Sheryl Dysert and Diane Retz.
