PRETZEL SALAD OR 3 LAYER PRETZEL SALAD

2 c. crushed pretzels
3/4 c. margarine, melted
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 (9 oz.) container Cool Whip
1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry
jello
2 c. boiling water
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen
strawberries, do not thaw

Mix together pretzels, margarine and sugar (3 table-
spoons). Press into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 8
minutes. Let cool.
Blend together cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Add Cool
Whip by hand. Spread on top of pretzels.
Combine boiling water and jello. Add frozen straw-
berries. Let stand 10 minutes to thicken. Pour over cheese
mixture.
Chill the entire salad overnight.
