SEAFOOD GUMBO

1 chicken (whole)
1/3 of a bell pepper
1 bunch of celery
1 bunch of green onions
1 white onion
1 clove of garlic
6 c. water
gumbo file to taste
2 pkg. sausage
2 pkg. boiled shrimp
1 c. flour
3 pkg. crab legs
red pepper to taste
black pepper to taste
salt to taste

Brown seasoned chicken. Put vegetables in a big pot
with water (6 cups) and boil. After the chicken browns, put it
in a big pot. Brown 1 cup of flour in a hot skillet. After
flour browns, add it to the big pot. Add red and black pepper
and salt. Cut sausage up in small sizes and add to pot. Let
cook about one hour. Add frozen shrimp and crab legs. Cook
for 15 minutes. Season to taste. Add 1/2 bunch of parsley and
gumbo file when gumbo is cooked.
