GOOD LUCK SOUP OR NINE BEAN SOUP 1 lb. barley pearls 1 lb. lentils 1 lb. black beans 1 lb. red beans 1 lb. navy beans 1 lb. pinto beans 1 lb. Great Northern beans 1 lb. split peas 1 lb. black-eyed peas Yield 10 (2 cup) packages. 2 c. Nine Bean soup mix 2 qt. water 1 lb. sliced and cubed ham 1 large chopped onion 1 minced garlic clove 1/2 to 3/4 tsp. salt 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, undrained 1 (10 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes, undrained Sort, wash beans, place in Dutch oven. Cover with water to 2-inches above beans and soak overnight. Drain beans and add 2 quarts of water, ham, onion, garlic and salt. Cover and bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours, add remain- ing ingredients and simmer 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
