HOMEMADE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP 2 or 3 c. cooked chicken 1 small bag medium egg noodles 1/4 c. chopped celery 1/4 c. grated carrots 1 large chopped onion 2 Tbsp. butter salt and pepper to taste Reserve broth from chicken and add canned broth, if necessary. Boil noodles, broth, onion and chicken until noodles are almost done, then add carrots and celery. Simmer until done. Soup will thicken as noodles absorb broth, so canned broth may be added if necessary.
