TAFFY APPLE SALAD 1 Tbsp. flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 egg 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar 4 c. diced Red Delicious apples, unpeeled 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drain, reserve juice 1 c. salted peanuts, chopped coarsely 8 oz. Cool Whip Combine flour and sugar. Beat egg and add to flour and sugar. Add vinegar and reserved pineapple juice. Cook and stir, in small pan, until thick. Cool. Mix into topping. Pour cooled dressing over apples and pineapple. Stir in chopped peanuts, reserving a few for garnish if desired.
