MINT MERINGUE COOKIES
(From Grandma Christie)
2 egg whites
pinch of salt
pinch of cream of tartar
2/3 c. sugar
few drops green food coloring
1 (6 oz.) pkg. mint chocolate
chips or 1 (6 oz.) pkg.
regular chocolate chips and
a few drops of peppermint
flavor

Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until frothy.
Gradually add the sugar, beating continuously. Mix in mint
chips. Drop on ungreased cookie sheets. Place in oven pre-
heated to moderate 350 degrees. Turn off oven and let cookies stand
for six to eight hours. Makes 30.
These are a Christmas tradition for the Christies.
