BEER BATTER FOR ONION 1 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 egg 1 c. beer or 1 c. milk 1 Tbsp. oil onion Sift together and set aside the flour, baking powder and salt. In a deep bowl, beat egg until thick. Add beer or milk and oil. Stir in dry ingredients; beat until smooth. Slice onion 1/4-inch thick and separate into rings. Deep fat fry.
