ICE CREAM BUCKET PICKLES 3 qt. small cucumbers, sliced (do not peel) 2 lb. onions, sliced 2 green peppers, sliced (red or green or both) 1 tsp. celery seed 1/4 c. salt 2 c. white cider vinegar 3 c. sugar Important to use small cukes to keep seeds intact. Place sliced vegetables in layers in ice cream bucket. Combine seasonings, vinegar and sugar and heat, stirring until sugar dissolved. Do not boil. Cool, then pour over vegetables. Store in refrigerator. Be sure it marinates at least a week before transferring to smaller containers. Keeps indefinitely in refrigerator.
