BARBECUED CHICKEN WINGS 3 lb. chicken wings 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 c. catsup 1/2 c. apricot preserves 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional) Remove tips from wings; cut each wing into 2 pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place pieces side by side in shallow glass dish. Saute onion and garlic in hot oil about 3 minutes or until golden brown; stir in remaining ingredients. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool; pour over chicken wings. Cover. Chill for about 1 hour. Bake in a 350 degrees oven for 40 minutes or until wings are tender. Yield: 32 appetizers.
