SWEET SOUR MEATBALLS 1 lb. ground beef 1 egg 1/4 c. cornflake crumbs 1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup 1/4 c. water 4 heaping Tbsp. brown sugar 4 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 medium onion, cut into 16 pieces garlic salt salt and pepper Mix the ground beef, egg and cornflake crumbs. Season with a dash of garlic salt, salt and pepper. Form into little balls, line them up on a cookie sheet with sides and bake at 325 degrees for about 1/2 hour or until brown. In heavy saucepan combine the ketchup (rinse the bottle with the 1/4 cup water), brown sugar, lemon juice and onion. Add the baked meatballs and simmer over low heat, covered, stirring often for 1 1/2 hours. This recipe can be made in advance, refrigerated and then reheated when ready to serve.
