CARAMEL CORN 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1 c. butter or oleo 1/2 c. white corn syrup 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. soda 1 c. pecans or peanuts 7 1/2 qt. popped corn Combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt in a sauce- pan. Bring to boil. Boil 5 minutes. Beat in soda vigorously. Stir in nuts. Place corn in large shallow pan. Pour sugar mixture over corn. Bake at 250 degrees for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
