TACO BURGERS

1 lb. ground beef
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut
up
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
8 hamburger buns, split and
toasted
2 c. shredded lettuce
1 c. shredded American cheese

In skillet brown ground beef; drain off fat. Stir in
undrained tomatoes, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic
salt, sugar and dry mustard. Bring to boiling, reduce heat.
Simmer, uncovered, until thickened, 15 to 20 minutes. Spoon
meat mixture onto toasted buns. Sprinkle each of the buns with
lettuce and cheese. Makes 8 sandwiches.
